Uku’Butuka

This year’s Tangila Trail Series will feature our three signature trail run courses: 11 km, 22 km, and 33 km.

The 11 km course is a mix of gently-undulating single and double-track, perfect for those new to trail running or that prefer a mix of walking and running.

The 22 km course is suitable for those who are familiar with trail running and have trained, from weekend warriors to racing snakes! Solomon Chidunuka Memorial Challenge team members are required to register for this event.

The 33 km course is a genuine challenge for experienced trail runners and features technical single track, formidable elevation changes, and a cut-off requiring a demanding average pace. To finish the Tangila 33 km is a tremendous achievement, worthy of its own unique medal and serious bragging rights!

All three events start at 07:00 and have a strict 4 hour cut-off. Medals will be awarded only to those that finish prior to cut-off.

All three courses are well marked and GPS navigation is not required. However, the GPX files are provided below for those who prefer to use a GPS device. Ensure the files are loaded and your device is tested well in advance. Tangila Trail Series staff will not be available to assist with any technical issues.
